Abstract
Heck’s disease or Oral focal epithelial hyperplasia is a rare, benign, familial disorder, with no sex predilection. Clinically it presents as multiple, soft, circumscribed, sessileelevations of the oral mucosa. It is caused by infection with Human papillomavirus. It primarily occurs in children, but can also occur in young and middle-aged adults. We report a case of Heck’s disease in an 8 year old boy who presented with a raised lesion in the tongue.
