Urinary tract infection (UTI) represents one of the most common diseases encountered in medical practice today and occurring from the neonate to the geriatric age group. Despite the widespread availability of antibiotics, it remains the most common bacterial infection in the human being. Four s pathogenic bacteria as Escherichia coli, Proteus sp Shigella sp. and Klebsiella sp. were isolated from urine samples collected from pathology laboratory. Identification of these cultures was done o the basis of morphological and biochemical characteristics.
