ABSTRACT:In the present report, a case of 19 year-old monozygotic twin sisters with variable expression of hypodontia is presented. One of the twins had agenesis of mandibular lateral incisor. The occurrence of dissimilarity in the tooth agenesis in the monozygotic twins may suggest the influence of epigenetic factors in their etiology. DNA fingerprinting was used to confirm monozygosity.
