Special Issue – AI-Driven and Multimodal Innovations in Biomedical Imaging and Sensing

About the special issue

The key intention of this special issue is to provide an open platform for scientists, researchers and academicians across the globe to promote, share, and discuss various aspects of medical diagnostics, treatment planning, and healthcare monitoring. At the forefront are cutting-edge imaging techniques, including ultra-high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET), redefining early disease detection and surveillance. Adopting artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms further magnifies these developments, enabling accurate image analysis and predictive diagnostics. AI-powered imaging tools enhance the precision of disease detection, reducing time consumption in diagnosis and allowing timely interventions.

Scope

In this special issue, we invite scientists, researchers and academicians throughout the globe to submit original unpublished research works and review an article. The topics of interest are broad, including but not limited to the related sub-topics listed below:

  • Applications of deep learning for image analysis and interpretation
  • Machine learning and deep learning algorithms for predictive diagnostics
  • AI-driven image reconstruction and enhancement techniques
  • Applications of hybrid imaging modalities (e.g., PET/CT, PET/MRI)
  • Multimodal imaging for neuroimaging and cancer diagnostics
  • Smartwatches and wearable devices for cardiovascular monitoring
  • IoT-enabled health monitoring systems for real-time data acquisition and analysis for patient monitoring
  • Ensuring patient privacy and data security in biomedical imaging
  • Ethical implications of AI and machine learning in medical diagnostics
  • Applications of advanced sensing technologies in personalized medicine
  • Advanced neuroimaging techniques for studying brain connectivity
  • Emerging trends in biomedical imaging and sensing research
