Abstract: A sensitive differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) method for the determination of Nalmefene(NLM) at Clay modified carbon paste electrode (CMCPE) was developed. Peak currents showed a linear response in the concentration range 1.4 × 10-9 to 5.2 × 10-5 M. The effect of pH of buffer solution, accumulation time and accumulation potential on peak currents were studied. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantization (LOQ) were found to be 1.1 × 10-8 and 0.334 × 10-7 M respectively with a correlation coefficient of 0.9982. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the determination of NLM in spiked urine samples, human serum samples and pharmaceutical formulations.
